Lauren Chang

Lauren is a PhD candidate and joined the Schotsaert Lab in May 2021. She currently studies eosinophils and other granulocytes in the context of respiratory viral infection (influenza, etc) in pre-immune hosts in preclinical mouse breakthrough infection models. Lauren received her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of California, San Diego in 2018. Prior to joining the Schotsaert Lab, Lauren was a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Summer Intern in Biomedical Research (2017) and a Post-baccalaureate Research Fellow (2018-2020) in the laboratory of Dr. Barney S. Graham at the Vaccine Research Center (VRC). Her main research interests are vaccines, lung immunity, and respiratory viruses. In her free time, Lauren dabbles in photography, console gaming, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and searching for the best boba in NYC.
