"Matthew (“thew”)joined the lab in May 2023. Matthew will work on germinal centers because he thinks they are pretty neat.
Matthew received a dual-degree in Microbiology and Cellular Biology from the University of Georgia in 2018. Prior to joining the Schotsaert Lab, Matthew worked as a research specialist at Emory University (2018 – 2022) in the laboratory of Dr. Gregory Melikian studying the early events of HIV-1 infection in human primary cells using real-time single virus tracking.
Outside of lab, Matthew enjoys exploring many of the fantastic parks, museums, and restaurants of New York, reading at the New York Public Library, or playing board games with Sinai Tabletop."
